Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:
Coordinates daily Pack Room activities while formulating a daily shift schedule for all packers including any re-selection work. Assists the Production Shift Supervisor to ensure that all job changes are executed in a timely and efficient manner. Ensures that Cold End staffing is sufficient to run all available lines. Works with the Quality Systems Manager to understand the correct priorities for re-selection and/or any special project work is completed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Coordinate daily line coverage, re-selection, and special project work.
- Ensure that Pack Room personnel have all necessary supplies, such as; gauges, trays, packing materials, and process sheets for an efficient operation.
- Notify Production Shift Supervisor of upcoming job changes and coordinate line purge in the pack room.
- Assign Pack Room personnel to assist with problem lines and/or 100% inspection.
- Reads, understands and follows blueprints and written specifications.
- Coordinate breaks for Packer Room personnel.
- Communicate process issues to Manufacturing Manager, Production Shift Foreman and Quality Systems Manager.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Performs necessary paperwork.
- Coordinates necessary responsibilities between packers, quality and operators.
- Cooperate with Manufacturing Manager and Production Shift Supervisor.
- Assists in the classroom and pack room training of all pack room personnel.
- Ensure everyone in the Pack Room (regardless of title) adheres to GMP and Safety requirements.
- Performs other duties when required or requested.
- Supports QMS and GMS initiatives

Qualifications
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Prior on the job experience working in a Pack Room environment.
- Must have experience dealing with employees in a supervisory capacity.
FORMAL QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
- Basic computer skills
- Must be able to understand, read, speak and write in English
- Communicates and delegates assignments clearly and concise
- Good organization skills
Additional Information
12-HR Shifts (2-on/2-off/3 day Weekend-On then 2-off/2-on/3 day Weekend Off)
Starting $20.60 per hour with incremental increases until fully qualified at $21.76.
Shift differential $1.45 per hour.
