Ramp-up Project Manager

Job Description
The purpose of this role to assure the site readiness for us to successfully execute the ramp-up of the projects listed below and more to come. As well as manage all necessary stakeholders to coordinate the ramp-up in the US and within the Gerresheimer group.
Gerresheimer plans to invest in a new factory located in Peachtree City, Georgia. This expansion aims to create over 200 new jobs, adding to currently the existing workforce of 260 employees. Scheduled to open in fall 2024, the 160,000 square feet factory will specialize in producing autoinjectors, spring-loaded syringes that are used to inject drugs.
Duties:
- Define all necessary ramp-up scenarios and monitor implementation
- Match ramp-up scenarios of customer with asset availability and site readiness
- Monitor HR ramp-up and training concepts execution and show up gaps and corrective actions needed
- Facility ramp-up together with group resources
- Assure execution of plant intralogistics concepts (based upon volume scenario in collaboration with OPEX and FM group resources)
- Build up of supporting infrastructure (mold shop, quality lab, etc.)
- Assess existing processes and compare within global plant network show up gaps and align to global group standards or come up with recommendations to change group standards
- Further develop current order management processes to existing order management processes

- Develop together with existing function project plans for all ramp-up work packages
- Run wp where currently no resources are available at the plan (order management, etc.)
- Establish and run a dashboard with the necessary KPI to transparently communicate status to the management
- Risk management
- Coordinate interface between site readiness, the local TCC (engineering center of excellence) and operations project management
- Coaching and support of wp leads for the ramp-up
- First level of escalation in case of problems in the different work packages
- Lead cultural change management for ramp-up topics
Qualifications
- Technical degree or extensive expertise in ramping up production lines & plants
- Technical understanding of mechanical engineering and production processes in the field of medical devices (other industries will be considered)
- Experience in high speed assembly and injection molding
- Experience in the management of major projects in an international setting
- Project planning skills with project software (MS Project, c-place, etc.)
- Risk Management
- ERP software experience (order management, planning, MRP, materials management, etc.)
- Project controlling and budgeting

- Strong leadership skills (also informal)
- Good communication skills across all hierarchical levels (senior leadership to shop floor)
- Ability to endure conflicts and resolve them constructively
