Scrum Master

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the Scrum Master for one or more Agile teams, facilitating all Scrum ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Guide and coach the team on Scrum practices and principles, ensuring that the Scrum framework is adhered to and continuously improved.
  • Facilitate a collaborative and self-organizing team environment, encouraging open communication and feedbacks.
  • Identify and remove impediments to the team’s progress, ensuring that they have the resources and support needed to meet their sprint goals.
  • Work closely with Digital leads and PO/ PO proxies to ensure that the products backlog is well-groomed and prioritized, and that user stories are clearly defined and ready for development.
  • Track and report on key metrics to measure the team’s performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Promote continuous improvement by encouraging experimentation, learning, and adaptation within the team.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar role in an Agile environment.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and Scrum practices.
  • Excellent facilitation, coaching, and mentoring skills.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with international, cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience with Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar.

Additional Information

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or similar Agile certification.
  • Technical background or experience in software development.
  • Familiarity with other Agile frameworks such as Kanban or XP.
