Job Description

Reporting to the Senior Director Finance & Controlling Europe, China & India and to the Plant Manager, the Finance Manager is in charge of all finance for the plant including accounting, controlling and IT.

The Finance Manager is a member of the Management Team and manages a team of 2 people.

ACTIVITY

  • He/ She represents the finance department of Chalon’s plant at group level.
  • He/ She coordinates and supervises the accounting, controlling of the plant, assisted by a team.
  • He/ She guarantees the reliability of the plant's accounts and the preparation of financial and accounting documents in accordance with the legislation and standards of the group.
  • He/ She measures the plant's performance through KPIs that are implemented and whose results are transcribed through the group's reports and the plant's internal reports.
  • He/ She supervises, organizes, and coordinates the finance department (accounting, controlling)
  • He/ She develops strategies for the plant adapted to its financial situation (budgets, financial arrangements, investment plans, etc.) in collaboration with management.
  • He/ She ensures the reliability of financial and accounting data for internal and external KPIs.
  • He/ She represents the plant regarding the various ministries (Finance, Taxes, etc...)
  • He/ She drafts and follows up on investment requests to the group.
  • He/ She sets up and follows up insurance files in case of litigation.
  • He/ She ensures the smooth running of financial audits.
  • Monthly, quarterly and annually management control reports for the group (data update, preparation of comments). Internal production reporting.
  • Develop KPIs for the plant and implement them with Management Team.
  • Establish and control budget and investments (monthly, quarterly, annual), performance measurement.
  • Calculate cost prices for new customer requests for sales representatives, calculate cost prices for the analysis of the company's margins. Calculate margins by product and by customer.
  • To carry out, on request, various and transversal projects for the different departments of the company in a permanent search for efficiency improvement. Develop decision support tools.
  • Verify the reliability of information (technical parameters, reports, etc.).
  • Develop SAP.
  • Implement internal control throughout the company.
  • Manage IT issues of the plant and manage the IT service provider for the plant.

 

 

Qualifications

  • Higher education, Bac+5 in Finance Management
  • Fluent English
  • Minimum 5 years experience as a Finance or Controlling Manager in a plant
  • Already managed a team
  • Expert at Excel
